Religion Highlight: 1700s Christian Missionary writings on Hinduism
The pseudonymous writer Interr Stellarr has a fantastic piece (link here) going into the history of Christian missionary depictions of Hinduism, masterfully tracing them to tropes that flare up in popular consciousness today. Its important as Hindus to be aware of how some content and stereotypes we are fed (sometimes by other Hindus, or charlatans exploiting the Hindu name like “Hindus for Human Rights”/”Sadhana Hindus”) actually have centuries of usage as diabolical mindviruses meant to eliminate Hindu dharma.
