Music Highlight: Bishnupriya Manipuri Durga Bhajan
This song is praising the Goddess Durga, in the Bishnupriya Manipuri language, which is spoken by the Bishnupriya Manipuri ethnic group in Manipur and other NE states in India, with small groups also living in Bangladesh and Myanmar. Their language is Indo-Aryan, somewhat related to Bengali and Assamese. They are different from the Meitei people, but have lived side-by-side with them for centuries.
