Great thread from Krishnakant. Oftentimes Buddhism is posited as this “revolt against caste” and an improvement on Hinduism, which it really is not. This notion is especially popular among Ambedkarites, who follow a nonsense form of Buddhism called Navayana which is heavily at odds with basic precepts of Buddhism.

He used to go for Pandharpur Wari every year but when he became old and could not walk, Vithoba came to Dehu for him. This temple also houses the Shila Mandir that has the Shila or stone on which Sant Tukaram sat and meditated for 13 days. It is located right on the banks of the Indrayani river.
