History Snippet Highlight: Bhaskara Sethupati
Many of our readers will be familiar with Swami Vivekananda’s legendary speech at the 1893 World Parliament of Religions. Initially, Bhaskara Sethupati was supposed to attend the conference, but after meeting Swami Vivekananda he instead sponsored the latters trip to the event. Sethupati was from the royal family around Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu where his family served as traditional protectors of the Ram Setu (the bridge Lord Ram took to Lanka during the Ramayana)
