Welcome to Eternal Path! This week we feature: Prachyam OTT, Chinese avoiding beef , and an aesthetic!
Resource Highlight: Prachyam OTT
OTT stands for “Over-The-Top” service, which is a content platform beamed directly to viewers over the internet. Netflix and YouTube are two platforms that can be considered OTTs. However, YouTube’s censorship and content policies leave a lot to be desired, and especially in an era of bad faith actors constantly trying to take down Hindu content, its important that the Hindu community have their own vehicles for educational and informative internet-based content.
Enter Prachyam. They are a subscription-based Hindu OTT platform, delivering content on history, politics, science, and religion from a Hindu perspective. Below is a sample of their content, linked at https://prachyam.com/video/eknath-ji
Praxis Highlight: Chinese Avoiding Beef?
We’ve highlighted in previous issues that beef taboos are not just a thing in Hinduism, but in other regions of the world influenced by Indic religions such as some Chinese empires and pre-modern Japan. More evidence from Shailesh Bharadwaj below.
