Education Highlight: A Basic Hinduism Curriculum
IndianHistory0 has a great list of basic concepts that should be explained to ever Hindu in order to make sense of Hindu cosmology and philosophy. For our readers active in Hindu education, especially in local temples, these tweets provide a great structure for organizing lessons around explaining the uniqueness of Hinduism.
Action items:
Contact the leadership of your local temple and ask them what they are doing to teach these concepts.
Develop a cursory understanding of each of the 8 concepts listed below

Education Highlight: Model UN - Bangladeshi Genocide Discussion
For students from 5th grade to 12th grade, Hindu American Foundation has partnered with Model UN for a special institute titled UN Security Council: Genocide & Human Rights, which addresses the 1971 Bangladesh Genocide. This will take place August 16 - 20. To register, visit https://bit.ly/3hGFHXD. When registering, use the code HAFMUNFRIENDS to save $50 for the week.

Media Highlight: Media ignoring stalking of Hindu Students
The organization “Hindu on Campus”, which we have highlighted a few times in this newsletter, has a damning thread on how journalists refuse to cover or take into account stalking of Hindu students at Rutgers, by Hinduphobic bigot and Rutgers Newark Professor Audrey Truschke.
